Fun Weekend

On Saturday we took the kids to the circus. At first they found it loud and too close from our second row seats. So, we moved up higher to some empty seats, and they liked it better. But I think they had the most fun imitating the animals when they got home. Can't you just picture it?

Then on Sunday we all went to a "sure catch" fishing place in Morgan Hill. For $2.50 the kids can fish in a stocked, concrete pool, and we pay by the pound for what the kids catch. (The poles, bait and nets are included.) I'm not sure how many fishing pictures you want to see, so......... here are a bunch.

Snacks are a part of the fun for everyone.

Love those fishing chairs given to them by Grandma and Grandpa Willison.

It is always fun to bait hooks. ?!?

Feels like a big fish!

They shared in bringing it in.

Ready for the net!

Got him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It splashed around in the bucket.

Who wants to hold it?

OK, just touch it.

I think Ellie liked it the best. Aunt Jerry, did you hear that?

Katie, remember the picture of you fishing with pink ribbons?

Daniel knows why it is called a catfish. Ellie just thinks it is funny that I am holding it.

Question of the Day: On whose pole was the fish caught?

Since you could never guess, I'll tell you the answer to this one also.

Our fishing tale: We were catching no fish in the "sure catch" pond. Nina went to the car, to get something, and while she was gone, you guessed it, there was a bite. But it was not on our poles. It was on a pole next to us. Nobody was manning the pole. We think the guy who works there had originally put it in the water, but he left to do some other work. Eric asked if it belonged to the little girls on the other side of it and they said no. He immediately picked it up and called the boys to reel it in. He kept letting a little line out until Nina got back so she could see the boys working to bring it in.

So the answer is that it was caught on somebody else's pole. We don't know him. We just know he wasn't by his pole when the fish took the bait. Final happy note: We told them that we reeled in one on a pole that was left there, and they didn't charge us for it. :-)

I love those pictures of the circus!!! Daniel's favorite animal is the "white" tigers and Luke loved the elephants. Great memories. Thanks for a wonderful time!
