I thought you'd like to see the yellow ribbon hanging for Jeff on Main Street. Banners are hung for the "sons and daughters of Pleasanton who are serving in the military and are currently outside of the United States." How proud I am to see his name up there, yet at the same time can't wait for it to come down, as that would mean he is on US soil again. :-)
I wasn't really thrilled when I got an email telling me the banner had been hung in front of the Pleasanton Brewery. I didn't even know Pleasanton had a brewery! I looked it up on the internet and found that its ales are of the traditional brewing style of the British Isles. Ha. What a fun place to hang a banner for someone stationed in the British Isles.
We went to dinner at the pub last night. I now realize that I never knew the pub was there because I always looked at the Pleasanton Hotel when I drove by. So there is Jeff, on Main Street, across from the historic hotel, (the heart of Pleasanton), and right next to a place serving British style ales. How perfect.
Question of the day: The little shopping center with the brewery also contains a jewelry store. Do you think I should buy a piece of jewelry there and if so, when? :-)
Oh, by the way, most of the answers to the previous questions are posted in the "comments" sections. Thanks for all of your responses. I loved reading them.

Absolutely! Who doesn't like jewelry? I think it should either be a December stone or a stone of the month they come back to the States.
